This warm combination of plastic and four wooden legs by Charles and Ray Eemes saw the light of day in 1948, was christened DSW (Dining Sidechair Wood Base) and immediately took a dominant place in the furniture world. The design was not only visually and ergonomically attractive, but also successful as "low cost furniture ".
